Easy, Homemade BBQ Sauce | Recipe

Blender Barbecue Sauce

An easy and quick recipe for sticky-sweet, tangy homemade barbecue sauce.

Barbecue sauce from scratch is easy to make. Especially if you're working this this recipe. They usually consist of a base made up of ketchup, and sweeteners like brown sugar or molasses are added, as well as tangy components, most commonly different types of vinegars, but not excluding citrus juices, like lime or lemon. Lastly, a sauce will also possess flavor enhancers, such as onion and garlic, but in the case of this super easy, super simple sauce, we will rely on dried spices to carry us through this department.

This sauce is sticky, sweet and tangy -- all the things a BBQ sauce should be. It is a traditional sauce, that requires only a bit of measuring and a blender. No chopping and no sautéing involved. If you'd like the sauce to be warm, you could simply microwave it, or bring it to temperature on the stove top.

Serve it over chicken, beef, pulled pork and the like. Enjoy.
