Cherry Cheesecake Sippers | Cocktail

A festive Valentine's Day cocktail made to emulate the flavors of cherry cheesecake, featuring vanilla vodka and butterscotch liqueur.
Oh, how I love cheesecake. It's so decadent, so creamy...so filling. If only there were a way to consume it in liquid form. Oh wait, there is: Back in ye ol' glory days (a.k.a. college) this was one of my favorite cocktails. If I'm telling the whole truth, and nothing but the truth here, I actually first encountered this cocktail in shooter form. Whoopsy daisies. I know, I was a wild child. I liked it so much, I figured out a way to turn it into a full-fledged cocktail. I would mix up a batch, and my gal pals and I would sip on these little beauties and gab the night away.
They had become a distant memory until I began brainstorming for a Valentine-y dessert cocktail to share on the blog. My beloved Cherry Cheesecake Sipper came back to mind, and boy-oh-boy, am I glad it did. It's the perfect ending to any date night, but if you happen to be without a date this Valentine's, I highly encourage you to gather up your pals, make up a batch of these festive lovelies and gab the night away. Please, enjoy.
Ingredients:
1 ounce Vanilla Vodka
1 ounce Butterscotch Liqueur
1/2 ounce Grenadine (cherry syrup)
3 ounces Pineapple Juice
2 ounces Heavy Whipping Cream
Cherries for garnish, if desired
Method:
Have ready either a rocks glass filled with ice or a chilled martini glass. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the vodka, liqueur, grenadine, pineapple juice and cream. Shake vigorously 30 seconds and pour into prepared glass. Alternatively, pour aforementioned ingredients into an empty rocks glass, stir and add ice. Serve and enjoy.
